The Godfather RoleplayGuide

Guide 1 / 16

Getting started

This page explains what text roleplay is, what you can do on the server and in which order to read this guide.

Summary

  • The Godfather Roleplay is a FiveM server where you play one character in GTA V’s Los Santos, in writing.
  • You type your character’s speech as plain text, write actions with /me and describe situations with /do.
  • Your character only knows what they have seen and heard themselves.
  • If you are new, read page 2 (Joining and creating a character) and page 3 (Your first hour) first.

1. What text RP is

RP is short for roleplay. On this server you write what your character says and does in the chat, and other players answer as their own characters.

  • You typeHi, this is my first time here.
  • Tony Russo says: Hi, this is my first time here.
  • You type/me slowly looks over the menu.
  • * Tony Russo slowly looks over the menu.
The line marked “You type” is what you write. The line below it is what people nearby see on their screen.

2. Character and player

  • Your character is a different person from you, with their own name, age, job and personality.
  • Your character does not know anything you learned on Discord, on a stream or in OOC chat.
  • Your character must react like a real person would. They are afraid of guns and they feel pain when hurt.
  • Conflicts that start in the game must be settled in the game.
