Vehicles and licenses

Driving test, first car, rentals, buying, keys, engine and fuel, parking, impound.

Summary

Driving test

  1. E at the license center → sign up for the driving test. A test car appears.
  2. Get into the driver’s seat within 60 seconds.
  3. Pass the checkpoints in order. Stop at stop points before moving on.
  4. Exceeding a section’s speed limit (km/h) is a fault. Too many faults or running out of time fails the test.
  5. Reach the last point: driver’s license issued. Age 18+, valid 365 days.

Warning

Leaving the driver’s seat for more than 10 seconds fails the test at once. Being handcuffed or badly hurt also ends it.

Owned cars: registration renewal every 30 days. Cost $50 + 1% of the car’s price (at most $5,000). Renewal opens 7 days before expiry.

Keys, engine, fuel

  • Y engine, L lock, O seatbelt.
  • Share a car key: /vduplicate ID. Revoke: /vrevoke character-ID.
  • Refuel: E at a gas pump. The price per litre is shown above the pump.
  • Jerry can: $25, 20L, carry up to 3.
  • Car upside down: /vflip (once every 30 seconds). Bring your empty spawned car: /fixveh.

Parking and taking out

  • /vp: stop, everyone gets out, then use it. The car goes to your garage.
  • /vg: take a stored car out. Car list and status: /vmenu.
  • Trunk: /vinv.

Impound and tickets

  1. /impound at the impound lot desk.
  2. Pay any unpaid tickets first.
  3. Pay the fee. The car is released in front of the desk.

Tip

Stolen car: /reportstolen plate reason. It shows as stolen on police terminals.
